  • The Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM)
The AIPM has been integral in developing police managers and executives through its management and leadership programs. The Institute also provides similar programs for the fire and emergency services, and volunteer organisations involved in public safety.  Institute programs have a reputation for outstanding quality. A major contributing factor to this quality is the involvement of senior executives from the corporate sector as presenters in these programs.  AIPM courses involve police from every state and territory of Australia and New Zealand. They also now include senior police from neighbouring nations in the Pacific and South East Asia. This diversity brings an international dimension to our courses, resulting in senior Australian police officers not only learning about how other police operate, but also developing international professional networks that are essential in their future careers. The Australian Graduate School of Policing has been co-located with the Institute at Manly for almost 20 years.

  • Charles Sturt University provides the university component of the Fire & Rescue NSW pre-entry tests for the IPP and the SOPP.
The pre-entry tests for the IPP and SOPP are conducted by members of the Emergency Management team, Valerie Ingham and Ian Manock.
