Phil has had a varied career in both the public and private sectors from that of a trained teacher, Qantas International Flight Attendant, Senior Lecturer within the NSW Police Service to senior management positions within Government, culminating as the A/Deputy CEO - Operations for the ACT Department of Justice. This role required a close liaison with the ACT Police as well as being responsible for executive oversight of the ACT Emergency Services Agency, ACT Corrective Services, ACT Courts and Tribunals and Departmental security.
While at the NSW Police College in the late 1990-2002, Phil developed the first national qualification for NSW Police Crash Investigators and was actively involved in all courses conducted by Driver Training including those required for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Subsequently he has undertaken numerous rotations in the field to better equip himself with the environment with which police are confronted. Phil holds a Masters of Education (Adult Learning), Graduate Certificate in Management and Graduate Certificate in Marketing, together with a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
