Dr Jennifer B Robinson completed her thesis entitled “A Network of National Socialists? The Physical Manifestation of Extreme Right Ideology in the Trans-Tasman, 2000-2022” in December 2024 at the Australian National University, Canberra. Her thesis examined the internal dynamics of extremist organisations through social network and internal dynamics analysis. She has since published two papers derived from this thesis in the Terrorism and Political Violence journal, which demonstrate how interpersonal relationships shape extremist behaviour, challenging explanations that focus solely on ideology or organisational structure. Her broader interests include terrorist evolution and innovation, radicalisation, group resilience and extremist ideologies.  She is a Research Member of Addressing Violent Extremism and Radicalisation to Terrorism (AVERT) and, a member of the IAPSS Community of Interest on Violence Norms. In addition to her doctorate, she holds a Master of International Security from the University of Sydney, and a MA(Hons) in Modern History from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Between her undergraduate and post graduate degrees, she was a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Air Force in the U.K.
