Masters of Intelligence Analysis; Bachelor of Criminology Samantha Jones is the Discipline Lead for the Bachelor of Policing and Bachelor of Policing-Investigation, and is a lecturer in Terrorism and Intelligence with the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Charles Sturt University. Samantha has previously worked for local, state, and federal government and not-for-profit organisations within her field of expertise. Samantha’s Doctoral research expertise has focused on terrorism and terrorist cell profiling domestically and internationally. Samantha’s research focuses on the culmination of numerous disciplines to develop an evolutionary profile on terrorist cells to formulate a strategic response in counter-terrorism. She has lectured and tutored in terrorism, intelligence, and criminology to postgraduate students, consulted for specialist audiences and industry, and engaged in media. While she primarily lectures in the Master of Intelligence, Terrorism, Policing, and Security Studies degree, she also provides specialist assistance on serial homicide in Australia. Samantha is also active in research on intelligence and biological weaponry with a focus on terrorism and State Sanctioned Terrorism. Samantha currently teaches across the post graduate intelligence discipline and Terrorism Awareness in the Bachelor of Policing and Bachelor of Policing and Investigations. Current research areas include the development of terrorist cell profiles that incorporates an evolutionary model. The research incorporates multiple disciplines with an incorporation of transhistorical, cross cultural, and transnational developments on terrorist cells. In addition, research on right-wing terrorism and biological terrorism is being conducted in addition to State Sanctioned Terrorism.Academic Staff
