Profile

Martin had a 47year career in the British Military and later, the Australian Defence Force as a military detective. Highlights included policing in operational / war like theatres and being in command of a covert policing unit in Germany, Regional commander of detective units throughout UK, Germany, Northern Ireland and Hong Kong. More recently, Marrtin was appointed Regional Commander of ADF Investigative Service units throughout Australia. Martin Retired from the ADF regular Service in 2019 at the rank of Major.

Having completed a Masters of Police Management and Leadership with CSU in 2015, In 2019, Martin assumed the role of Discipline Lead (DL) Bachelor of Policing and Bachelor of Policing – Investigations with the AGSPS, CSU, Canberra, where he remained until December 2023.

Martin has now taken a position as Adjunct Lecturer with CSU to assist with teaching and subject development within AGSPS.

Teaching

Martin has previously taught JST311 – Evidence and Investigation within the Bachelor of Policing Investigations course.
