Profile

Simon is an Adjunct Lecturer and was previously a lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing, teaching postgraduate sustainability and strategic management. Simon is Co-Chair of the Bathurst Campus Environmental Committee, and a member of the University's LiFE Steering Committee and Clean Energy Steering Comittee. He is also the academic lead for the University's involvement in the UN's Principles for Responsible Management (PRME).

Prior to CSU, Simon lectured in sustainability and responsible business on the UK and Asian campuses of Nottingham University Business School. Simultaneously Simon ran his own environmental consultancy, Simply Sustainable, working on a broad range of sustainability projects with regional businesses and with all levels of government across NSW.

Simon has extensive sustainability expertise in senior management roles with large Australian and multinational companies, as well as an array of general management experience across the Asia Pacific region.

Simon was the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor's 2015 Award for Sustainability. In 2020 Simon completed his PhD at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney investigating the role of government in large scale sustainability transitions.
