Dan began as a lecturer in February 2000 based on the Albury campus. He currently teaches management accounting and financial management subjects. Prior to joining the University Dan had extensive experience as a small business operator and as an accountant with KPMG. Dan has also previously undertaken independent research consultancy work with large corporations and government departments including Mars Petcare and the federal Department of Health. Dan's research interests lie in social and environmental accounting, accountability, superannuation and socially responsible investment, accounting education, and small business in Australia. Dan is a member of the Australasian chapter of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (A-CSEAR).

Teaching

Dan teaches in both Finance and Accounting and has taught a number of subjects from these disciplines in face to face, online (distance), and international modes. He is currently the subject convener for ACC210 Management Accounting. In the past Dan has used his separate marketing qualifications to teach most of the subjects in the undergraduate Marketing degree on the Albury campus.

Research

Dan’s research interests are in social accounting, superannuation and socially responsible investment, accounting and accountability, accounting education, and small business. He has a number of ongoing current projects.
