With over two decades of experience in higher education and a background in corporate banking, Dr Ezaz Ahmed’s academic career is marked by strategic leadership and academic innovation. Dr Ahmed has recently served as the tenured Professor of Business, Founding Dean and MBA program Director at the Division of Business, Leadership and Communication at Columbia College, South Carolina, USA. Dr Ahmed's strategic vision extends beyond traditional educational frameworks. He has effectively led academic programs across multiple campuses, including locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, and Gold Coast, as well as in online formats, demonstrating a profound ability to adapt and innovate in varied educational settings. His expertise in developing degree scaffolding and stackable credentials has opened new avenues for non-traditional students, enhancing accessibility and flexibility in learning pathways.

Dr Ahmed is recognized as a subject matter expert in HRM, industrial relations and management to leadership and business analytics. His pedagogical excellence has been acknowledged through multiple awards, including the "Student Voice Awards for On Campus and Online Educator of the Year" which he received consecutively for three years at the Central Queensland University, Australia. Dr Ahmed is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for HRM (SHRM-SCP), USA. Dr Ahmed's leadership led to the international accreditation of MBA (AMBA, UK) and HRM programs (Australian HR Institute, Australia) at Flinders University and Central Queensland University, Australia and SACSCOC accreditation for Columbia College, USA respectively. Under his leadership, Columbia College's MBA program was ranked among the Top 50 Online MBAs in the USA in 2022.

Dr Ahmed is an active contributor to academic research with publications of edited reference books, journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and industry publications. Dr Ahmed has been involved in international, national, and industry-based research projects and grants. His scholarly work is further expanded by his leadership roles such as chairing the Organisational Behaviour stream for the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) and serving on research advisory panels of the Australian HR Institute, Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, and the Society for HRM (SHRM) in the USA.

Educated with a PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of South Australia, an MBA from Maastricht School of Management, Dr Ahmed combines rigorous academic insights with practical applications. This blend of expertise supports his ongoing commitment to enhancing educational quality and accessibility, reflected in his strategic leadership roles and dedication to continuous improvement in academic programs.
