Dr Helen Taylor is an early career researcher studying management and organisations, including entrepreneurship and HRM as well as flexible working in social enterprise, the higher education sector and the public sector. Her thesis, "Good Intentions and White Middle-Class Femininities: Negotiating Privilege in the Social Enterprise" examines the ways in which structures of power are reflected and reproduced in the social enterprise.

Helen works collaboratively with researchers across a range of sectors. Recent co-authored publications include “Covid-19 and Working from Home: The Disruption of the Ideal Worker Norm?” in Gender Work and Organization and “Adopting a purposeful approach to hybrid working: Rethinking notions of place, space and time” in Policy Quarterly. She recently presented a forthcoming paper at AIRAANZ 2024 that examines research co-design as a method for developing evaluation and assessment tools to measure success of equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives in large organizations.

Helen has recently contributed impactful reports to Science in Australia Gender Equity as part of the Athena SWAN accreditation process, as well as work with UTS Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion to develop a Partnership Framework and assessment model. She has ongoing engagements with the public sector to understand management challenges in a hybrid working environment.

Helen teaches entrepreneurship and HRM as well as employment relations subjects. She is currently teaching MGT307 Applied Entrepreneurial Projects and HRM512 Values and Conflict in Organisations.
