Dr Rubina Ahmed has 20 years of academic experience in management and HRM, working across Asia, Australia, and the USA. Dr Ahmed earned her PhD in Management from the University of South Australia, where she was the recipient of the prestigious Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (EIPRS). Further, she was also awarded the US Fulbright Scholarship for her MBA at Southern Illinois University, USA.

Dr Ahmed has accumulated extensive teaching experience over the years, imparting knowledge to a diverse range of students and consistently adapting her methodologies to the evolving educational landscape. In addition to her academic achievements, her role as Assistant Coordinator in the Human Resources Department at a microfinance organisation showcased her ability to merge hands-on HR management with scholarly insights. This combination has shaped a teaching approach that offers her students a comprehensive, real-world educational experience.

With a particular aptitude for aligning her multifaceted research interests with pedagogy, Dr Ahmed advocates for interaction and engagement with multicultural student groups, facilitating learning experiences that are as universally relevant as they are academically rigorous. Dr Ahmed is deeply dedicated to her students, and by merging her varied research interests with a solid theoretical base, she promotes enriched learning, offering a comprehensive educational journey.

Research Interests

Dr Ahmed’s research interests are in the areas of generational studies in the workplace, employability factors, cultural contexts, leadership dynamics, and artificial intelligence in higher education and service industry.
