Greg Byrne

NSW Police Academy, McDermott Drive


Greg was a member of the NSW Police Force between 1982 and 2014. As a police officer stationed at numerous metropolitan and country locations, including Albury, Howlong and Mt Druitt. At the time of his retirement, Greg was attached to the Forensic Services Group as the Professional Standards Manager and HR Manager and was a Chief Inspector. He was also a credited Operational Support Group Commander.
After leaving the police force, Greg worked at the Western Sydney University teaching the Diploma of Social Science (Policing).
He is also employed part-time as an Assistant Editor of the Australian Police Journal and is a member of the Board of Directors. In that role Greg has edited numerous crime articles and written many book reviews.
