Over the last six years, Allison has worked as a sessional academic at the University of Canberra, variously tutoring and/or convening Employment and Administrative Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Legal Advice clinics and Law and Justice Internships.
Allison completed her PhD in Law early 2019. Her research interests include workplace abuse, clinical legal education, resilience and corporate governance.
Allison was admitted to the ACT Supreme Court as a barrister and solicitor in 2011 and has worked in private practice and across the legal aid, community legal, government and industry sectors since that time. Her legal practice focuses on workplace law (employment, industrial relations, bullying and harassment, work health and safety), administrative law, human rights and discrimination law.
Her former careers include policing and (intensive care) paramedicine. Allison joined the School of Policing Studies in August 2019.
Allison is currently undertaking research into the workplace bullying and harassment of firefighters.
