Profile

Nigel served as a Police Officer in the United Kingdom for 32 years at ranks up to and including Acting Detective Chief Inspector. He was an operational Detective and was a trained Senior Investigating Officer, with District and Force wide responsibilities for the investigation of serious crime. In his Local Area Command he held responsibility for Crime management. He has also held the role of Head of the Professional Standards Department “Intelligence development team” for over 2 years. This role involved research into police/police staff misconduct and criminal allegations. Nigel has vast operational experience of leading investigations into all types of crime.

Nigel has a background in training both within a policing environment and more latterly, in a Higher Education role. He has worked as a University programme leader and lecturer. He has written programmes of study in public service management for delivery at Foundation and Bachelor of Arts degree levels.
