Professor John Rossiter's background is in psychology and marketing. He is author or co-author of nine research-oriented textbooks and more than 90 refereed journal articles. He is preparing the 4th edition of his worldwide most well-known book, Marketing Communications, to be published by Sage in 2018. He now specializes in social science measurement, with a book on this topic published by Springer in 2011 and a journal article on optimal standard measures published in the American Psychologist, July-August 2017.
Beside his Charles Sturt appointment in Psychology, John Rossiter holds the position of Honorary Professor Fellow in the Faculty of Business, University of Wollongong, and is Visiting Professor of Marketing at the Schumpeter School, Bergische University Wuppertal, Germany.
Professor Rossiter is a Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy, the Australian Market & Social Research Society, and the American Psychological Association, and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. In 2015 Professor Rossiter was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
