Rosemary has worked in the discipline of policing for over 30 years. Her career began as a police officer in the New South Wales Police Force, resigning in 2003 at the rank of Detective Sergeant.
She then transitioned into academia with Charles Sturt University working as the Course Director and the Head of School for the School of Policing Studies and the NSW Police Academy. In 2015 she stepped away from that role and took up the position of Course Director, Bachelor of Criminals Justice, Bachelor of Policing and Public Safety and the Bachelor of Applied Research (hons). In 2023, she also took on a fraction of the role of Course Director for the Australian Graduate School of Policing Studies.
