Mr Michael Nielsen

Michael Neilsen has over 30 years’ experience in revenue management and administration in the Australian Taxation Office. Michael has extensive experience in income tax and indirect tax as a senior technical advisor and manager. His focus has been on process improvement and change management. His most recent role was as project manager for the implementation of a number of significant legislative changes to the Goods and Services Tax legislation including self-assessment, private and public rulings, grouping and retention of refunds.

Michael is currently the academic convenor for Direct Taxation and Indirect Taxation postgraduate subjects.
