About

Dr Mikhail Kashubsky is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES), Charles Sturt University and Head of Secretariat of the International Network of Customs Universities (INCU). He is also a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Courts of the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, the High Court of Australia and the High Court of New Zealand, and an Honorary Customs Officer of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mikhail holds a Diploma in Computer Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Master of Laws and a PhD in law. From 2008 to 2010 he was an Assistant Editor of the Australian Journal of Maritime and Ocean Affairs (formerly Maritime Studies) and he is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Customs Scientific Journal (CSJ) and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Journal of Customs and Economics Review (JCER). His research interests include offshore oil and gas security, maritime security, law of the sea, supply chain security, international trade and customs law, on which topics he has also published.
