Brian was a member of the NSW Police Force from 1986 until 2021, performing duties in uniform, proactive and detectives. He worked at several PACS in Southwestern Sydney, Central Metropolitan and at the State Crime Command, working on Strike Forces focusing on Organised Criminal Drug Syndicates.

During his service, Brian was exposed to all aspects of policing and developed a good working knowledge in police practices and procedures. Brian retired in June 2021, attaining the rank of Detective Sergeant.

Brian is currently attached to the School of Policing Studies, teaching Session 1 and 2 of the Associate Degree in Policing Practice.
