BA, MLitt, GradDipEd, DProf. Profile Fiona turned to academia following a 25-year career that spanned federal politics and government relations, internal and external communication, stakeholder management and media. Retraining in education in the early 2000s, Fiona has since taught at high school, vocational college, and higher education institutions both here and abroad. Fiona worked as senior advisor for the Police Federation of Australia, before completing her Doctorate in 2020. Prior to coming to Charles Sturt University, she worked with Deakin University researching workplace evaluation for the Australian Army. Fiona has published and is currently researching the effect of training transfer versus skills fade in the workplace.
