Profile

Karen is a former NSW Police Officer who worked in general duties and a number of specialist commands over a period of 29 years. Many of those were working as an Education and Development Officer, coordinating training requirements, and writing and delivering training sessions and courses. She began casual work with CSU in 2009, marking assignments for different subjects within the ADPP, then moving on to the UCWE. She now works with the School of Policing as an academic and lecturer with the UCWE.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Vocational Education and Training (BVET), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA), Certificate IV in Team Leadership, and she is currently completing a Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
