Fion is a recognised expert in international education. She has a business and international education background and over a decade of leadership and managerial experience in various forms of international education. Fion currently sits on and has been a member of several committees and boards with different higher education providers in Australia.

Fion is a recipient of the 2012 International Education Association of Australia, IEAA, ‘Outstanding Postgraduate Thesis’ for her PhD thesis on quality assurance of Australian transnational higher education. In 2019, she also received the Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) Best Practice Award in the category of The Award for Excellence in Governance and Policy.
