Doctor of Philosophy in Law (University of Canberra) Dr Zebo Nasirova is a Lecturer in Law and Course Director at the Centre for Law and Justice, Charles Sturt University. She brings over a decade of experience in legal education, having taught across a broad range of law subjects in Australia and internationally, including at the University of Canberra, Webster University and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Her teaching spans the Priestley 11 subjects as well as International Law, Commercial Law, Legal Ethics and Criminal Justice, across both online and face to face environments. Dr Nasirova holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Law from the University of Canberra. Her research focuses on international commercial law, with particular expertise in the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), legal harmonisation and international arbitration. She has presented at UNCITRAL conferences and international forums and has a book manuscript and journal articles currently under review. In her current role Dr Nasirova contributes to teaching, curriculum development and the accreditation of the Bachelor of Laws program at Charles Sturt University. Dr Nasirova has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in Australia and internationally. She has taught a broad range of subjects including Contract Law, Equity and Trusts, Tort Law, Corporations Law, Business Law, International Law, International Trade Law, Legal Ethics, Civil Justice and Criminal Justice. She is experienced in both online and face to face delivery, with a particular strength in designing engaging and student-centred learning experiences for online cohorts. Dr Nasirova employs active learning methodologies including flipped classroom techniques, case simulations, negotiation exercises and technology enhanced collaborative tools. She has designed and developed courses from scratch at multiple institutions, including initiating new units at University of Canberra, Webster University and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Dr Nasirova's research interests lie in international commercial law, with a focus on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), legal harmonisation across jurisdictions, and international arbitration and dispute resolution. She is particularly interested in the challenges courts face in interpreting uniform international commercial law instruments across diverse legal systems and traditions. Dr Nasirova has presented her research at the UNCITRAL Coordination Committee for Australia, the Zagreb International Conference on the Law of Obligations, and an international CISG conference in New York. She has a book manuscript currently under review with Hart Publishers and two journal articles under peer review.
