This project is an extension of the TRAKKA project funded by the Food Agility CRC.

A Joint Coding Scheme targeting Dynamic 3D Point Cloud Geometry and Texture information

Funder: DSERU Interim Funding
Investigators: Manoranjan Paul. Anwaar Ul Haq, Ashek Ahmmed
Period: 2021 - 2022
Funding Amount: $10,000
Outcomes:
The project aims to create a novel compression method for dynamic 3D point clouds. Since point clouds are expected to move from entertainment to communications in their adoption, having an efficient compression scheme would further accelerate this process.  The project included collaboration with Federation University, University of New South Wales and York University, Canada.
