Investigating non-intrusive technology for real-time anomaly detection in elderly behavioural patterns

This research project aims to transform aged care through the development of an advanced smart home system designed to predict and monitor human activities.

The system analyses daily routines, identifies behavioural patterns, and detects deviations that may indicate potential health or safety concerns. A prototype has been successfully tested in a smart home laboratory, attracting interest from aged care providers and industry partners. Future research will focus on evaluating the system in real-world aged care settings, with findings to be shared through high-quality academic publications.
